Flower Sale
The Vinson-Owen Flower Sale is an extraordinary school event that occurs during Teacher Appreciation Week. To honor the wonderful teachers, specialists and staff, flowers are sold and delivered to teachers with a note handwritten from a student. It is a magnificent and thoughtful way to recognize their tireless effort.
All the money raised is sent to our Sister School in India - The Vinson-Owen Learning Center, in the Mewat Region of India - to help them purchase school supplies.
Parent volunteers may be involved by helping us sell both online and on-site as well as by distributing flowers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
NOTE: Funds to support the Vinson-Owen Learning Center are 100% self-sustaining through separate fundraising, no monies are used to support this initiative from the Vinson-Owen Annual Fund or VOPA accounts.
Leadership for Flower Sale
The committee helps coordinate the event working closely with the school administration. Responsibilities include: Purchasing the flowers, organizing volunteers, running the sale - both online and on-site, and distribution of flowers to teachers, specialists and staff.
